Will I Still Look Better Even If I Gain Weight After Liposuction

People get cosmetic surgery because they are anxious about their appearance. The surgery gives them new confidence along with a new look. But, gaining weight after having liposuction is not recommended since the re shaping that was done through lipo will not be as noticeable. The impressive effects of liposuction will be diminished by the distribution of the new weight.

It is suggested that liposuction patients should weigh what they did prior to surgery minus the weight that was suctioned out. If a woman weighed 130 pounds prior to liposuction surgery and had two liposuction’s performed removing four pounds during each cosmetic surgery operation, her best weight should be 122 pounds. If she were to actually gain ten pounds then her new weight would be 140 pounds. She might look better since her shape was contoured, but the total effect of the liposuctions would not be as impressive as if she were to keep her weight down to what it was prior to the surgery minus the weight removed.

The facts are that after liposuction surgery, fat does not usually come back into a treated area unless there is a gain in weight. In other words, if you had liposuction not because of your weight but because certain areas were stubborn deposits of fat that detracted from your body’s best look, then, after lipo, fat will not get back into those spots unless you gained a significant amount of weight. Following liposuction, the level of fat accumulated in treated areas is less than in untreated areas, but there is still an accumulation with significant weight gain.
